Hi! My name is Della Sperry and this is my fourth year as a Kindergarten teacher at Farrell B. Howell and I am so happy to have the opportunity to work alongside so many wonderful people here! I went to college at the University of North Texas and Texas Woman’s University and earned a degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in Early Childhood Education. I also have an English Language Learner certificate. Over the past several years, I have taught preschool, kindergarten, second grade, and fifth grade. I have a husband and two children, both in their twenties. My husband, Jim, and I celebrated our 30th anniversary this year in New York City. We moved to Denver a little over 4 years ago and have been enjoying all the hiking, camping, exploring and wildlife-watching that Colorado has to offer. I’m always excited about the beginning of a new school year because nothing makes me happier than sparking the lifelong love of learning in my students!
