Barb comes from a long line of Colorado natives. Her family is eligible for Pioneer License Plates. Barb started working for Denver Public Schools in 1991 as a paraprofessional 2 hours per day. She volunteered at her son’s school for 3.5 years prior to that. In the years since then she has worked in over 10 schools or departments either during the school year or the summers. 2 of those schools she attended as a student while growing up. In November 2022 she will complete her 31st year in DPS with no plans to move on. When she was in elementary school her mother worked in Denver Public Schools as a para at what was then called Fallis Elementary and also at Carson Elementary.
